My story

Born in Haspengouw — and I still live here, literally around the corner from our vacation homes. That's no coincidence. This little corner of Limburg just won't let me go.

I love travelling. From Africa to Asia to South America, searching for real life behind the tourist facade.

After my studies, I moved to the Seychelles for half a year, a wonderful experience. My furthest trips must have been Taiwan, China and India. But however far, however long, or wherever I go, Limburg stays my anchor. And as the years go by, my love for my own region only grows. Haspengouw has so much to offer — that realization crept in slowly.

The idea for the vacation homes was born during a girls' weekend. A fantastic weekend, tired, talked hoarse, but we came home fulfilled. A lovely host, a nice house, wonderful walks and bike rides, memories made, and suddenly an idea… I want to create this feeling for others…

A second great love in our family is architecture and interior design. In the vacation homes, I get to combine both passions. Atmospheric interiors, with great attention to light, space and detail.

Existing materials were reused as much as possible during the renovations — sustainability is a conscious choice. Light wood, white walls, polished concrete and colourful accents set the tone.

The gardens are child-friendly and safely enclosed, with lots of greenery, cosy terraces and plenty of room for outdoor cooking. Because a vacation always tastes better outside. Throughout it all, I kept one thing in mind: giving you an instant vacation feeling. Creating a warm place where you can let go and enjoy from the very first minute. Scattered through the houses you'll find souvenirs and photos from our travels abroad — small stories from a big world, a reminder that we all have more in common than we think.
