Are electric bikes available?

All our bikes are electric e-bikes fitted with a powerful performance line motor for hours of effortless cycling fun. They're Isy Bike type: light, agile, sturdy and steady on the road. Because they're light, you can also ride them easily without electric assist. Like the couple An and Bart, who always come back to us because Bart likes to cycle "the old-fashioned way" while An prefers the electric boost. We often get asked: where can we buy these bikes? For us, that's the nicest compliment, and confirmation that our e-bikes are a hit!

What bike routes are available, and how long are they?

At En Route, we've got various bike routes ready for you. Each one is mapped out with restaurants, sights, fun facts about the region and other nice stops along the way. Our bike routes:Multiple blossom routes from 25 km to over 70 km The castle route The beer brewery route The Roman Tumuli route The heritage route The picnic route with a lovely picnic at a secret spot you discover togetherThe art route featuring, among others, the see-through church (Reading Between the Lines), the floating chapel (Helsheaven) and other artworks. During blossom season, you'll also cycle right among the blossoms here. On several bike routes, we've also included options to shorten or extend along the way.Did you know Wouter Deboot (Met de Wind Mee - VRT) has already visited our vacation homes a few times? He created fun loop routes especially for Vacation Home Elisa and Coco Juliette, starting and ending right at our vacation homes. Will you ride in Wouter's wake?

Are Limburg's hotspots easy to reach?

From our vacation homes, you can cycle to Cycling through Water, Cycling through the Trees, Cycling through the Heath and even Cycling among Mining Slag Heaps is possible. Can you combine biking with a stay at the vacation homes?

Accepted Answer

You can rent the bikes for a day, but you can also combine it with a stay at one of the vacation homes (or both). That way you can make it a real biking vacation! We've got a different route through Limburg's varied landscape ready for you every day! Book now or reserve your bikes.

Can the bikes also be transported by car or on the train?

Accepted Answer

Our bikes are very compact and super light. No wonder they're called "Isy Bikes – Ride it - Love it"! So you can easily bring them on the train too. Plus, Alken's little train station is just 300m from the vacation homes. That way, you can discover all of Limburg's hotspots from your fixed base at Vacation Home Elisa or Coco Juliette, all in one Limburg vacation! For transport by train or car, please coordinate this with us in advance.

Are bike helmets and other extras also available?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we recommend a bike helmet as it can save lives. Every e-bike comes with a free helmet if you'd like one. Every bike also comes with a bike bag. For kids, we provide child seats. A longtail bike, cargo bike, bike trailer and even kids' mountain bikes can also be rented. We provide these special bikes through our partners, so booking ahead is recommended. Yes, that's possible too! Together with Haspengouw Per Fiets, we've developed a bike experience team building. Along the way, we treat you to local delicacies and fun facts about the region. As the cherry on top, we give you tips for the best photos. During the ride, you'll receive an e-photobook to collect all your photos. That way you'll keep great memories of a great day - forever. What type of e-bikes can we rent?

Our e-bikes are compact and lightweight e-bikes. They're highly manoeuvrable and steady on the road, easily handling a rougher path too ("tegries," as we say in Alken). Because the best routes, of course, lie off the beaten track, especially during busy blossom season! All bikes are equipped with a powerful performance line motor and a strong battery. We make sure it's charged to 100%, so you can effortlessly cycle over 100km through Limburg's most beautiful landscapes.
